Reshape Eyebrow with Erabelle

Hey all,

Personally, eyebrows are considered the most important feature on my face. Its enhance your expressions and your look. Eyebrows are very important to us, ladies!
I'm the unfortunate one, as I always find my imperfect eyebrows difficult to maintain, its kinda lopsided. Sometimes, it took me about 20mins to draw my "perfect eyebrows". Its quite annoying after a long period of time. Especially, when you have to multitask in the morning i.e., to prepare the kids, shower, etc... time is everything to me. That crucial 20mins really mean a lot. You can actually chill and take a breather before you head out and begin the hectic day!

After much consideration, I decided to boost up my courage and went ahead with my erabrow experience. I was very worried initially, as I heard a lot of horror stories about how things went wrong during the process or the ugly end result, i.e., the uneven brow lines, wrong colour, etc.... Another fear would be whenever anyone mentioned embroidery eyebrow, many will relate to "So Auntie". "Only auntie will do this". You probably have seen a lot of aunties reshaped their eyebrows. And the results came "ewww". And probably after a period of time, the eyebrows colour turned greenish blue and transformed to unnatural arch brow lines. Which is really not what I am or you are looking at. Natural is the key. I do not wanna look like a witch. LOL.

15 January 2014,
Here's the photo before embroidery is done. It's really pain the neck to see my eyebrows out of alignment. Its just went out of the way. No matter how I draw it just didn't turn out well. And my eyebrows seem so faded, light and thin.

First step, the master artist started drawing out the perfect eyebrows with just normal eyebrow pencil and after you have approved her style and recommendation, she will get prepared.

So second step, here's when the numbing cream was applied on the perfectly drawn eyebrows, to ease the pain. I was waiting in the waiting area while the numbing cream taking its effect, it requires approx. 20mins before you start the process. And the lady behind as you can see she is working on another customer. And she will be the master artist for my eyebrows.

So 20 mins passed, nervously, seated at the dentist looking chair, lay down, and the master artist will show you the sealed up needle before the piercing. Or rather they call that needle "Erabelle’s Micropen". The master artist will be applying the
The pain score (out of 10, 0 = No Pain, 10 = Freaking Pain) : 2/10

Its bearable pain. She will continue applying numbing cream over the eyebrows for at least 4 times. So its not the pain you should be worried about. The whole process is about an hour. After the whole piercing, I do feel sore pain and numb. Its not annoying me, I can continue with my day. However, I was rather annoyed by the dark tone, as it seems very obvious. LOL. "SO auntie". I was a little embarrassed. Anyways, what done was done, so I have endured and hope for the best.

Aftercare, I was given a box of erabrow kit, its so well prepared. As you will be given instruction card in the box, so no worries, if you don't remember how it works. They have prepared a 5-days care steps to follow. So simply follow and you will be fine. And not forgetting, I was told not to wash my face for the at least 2 days, and not to swim or facial for a week.

2 weeks passed, my eyebrows started peeling off. Its kinda like the eyebrows are shedding dead skin. Anyhow, it doesn't hurt or anything, so its fine. It shed for few days, And done, it feels like a rebirth, your eyebrows look so perfectly natural! you will love your eyebrows even more. I basically fall in love with my new eyebrows.

When I head out to the beach, I don't have to hide my brows! So delighted. Its just too convenient. And No Hassle No Gain! Its been 2mths, my brows still look so natural! However, as its a semi permanent, so your eyebrows colour will be fading, you may start with some touch up with your eyebrow pencil, that's if you are bothered by the fading colour. But I will be going for my touch up next month definitely, No More Regrets.

This is not a sponsored blog. Its merely me sharing my personal experience.

"Erabrow is a bespoke semi-permanent colour service for your eyebrows. This service will lend colour and depth to pale, faded and naturally sparse brows and can restyle and reshape brows that have been over-plucked." From Erabelle

My advice:
Do a lot of research before you intend to make changes on yourself. It does help and avoid unneccessary fear or panic attack!

My Love For Cheongsams

Hey all,

Gong Xi Fa Cai! Another year has passed. And this year, its the Horse year! Well, Chinese New Year is the occasion we embrace our tradition. Yes, we spend our first Chinese New Year night together at home to Shou ye "守夜", which means night vigil. I was told that it represents togetherness. Chinese has so many sayings and traditions which were lost along the way. And when it comes to us, its history. One of the traditions, which I would love to follow which is wearing Cheongsam. Cheongsam goes a long way back,  which relates a lot on our chinese culture. Many years back, many chinese women will dress in cheongsam everyday.

Did you know?
"The original qipao was wide and loose. It covered most of the woman's body, revealing only the head, hands, and the tips of the toes. The baggy nature of the clothing also served to conceal the figure of the wearer regardless of age. With time, though, the qipao were tailored to become more form fitting and revealing."

However, when everyone is westernised, we prefer modern clothings than cheongsam. To be honest, not many ladies can fit into a body-hugging one-piece cheongsam. They find it too old fashion or too uncomfortable. In contrary, I'm in love with cheongsam and it does accentuate my figure. It exudes the classy feel and the demure woman in me. I didn't know Cheongsam can be fashionable! As the world is getting more creative and stylish, Cheongsam has evolved as well. My love for cheongsam has grown tremendously.

"I'm a cheongsam lover! I always find myself buying cheongsams irregardless if its for Chinese New Year or daily wear." I was wearing 3 cheongsams during this period of Chinese New Year. To many choices in my wardrobe! :)

Aquamarine feel. I love the details. You can see the paisley prints. It's in trend now.
This cheongsam goes well with a slim belt. After mix and match, I finally found myself matching with a sea green belt. Its from Lark and peony. I am a big fan of them. Although, I love their trendy prints. Anything with big flowers, doesn't go well. It kinda "auntie" for me.

Yokihi in Crimson Cubes
This is my favourite cheongsam dress. This piece is definitely a keeper! I'm not joking. It's the dress that I would love to wear it almost everyday! It just so pretty in red cubes prints! Nice fit. I call this rare encounter. Also from Lark and peony!

An evening waltz serenade
Comes with a beautiful belt. I managed to purchase this cheongsam, as most of their cheongsams sell out real fast. I didn't manage to secure most of their pretty pieces as I was always tied up with kids and missed the launch time. Quite disappointed. However, I was looking forward to their backorder of those popular pieces. So gonna get them. This unique piece is from ourbitsyprints. I purchased the last pc of Size M and had it tailored to my size. At least I secured this unique embiodery pc that comes with a custom-made batik belt, from my experience, most of their cheongsams don't come with a belt.

Watch for another post on my other favourite prints as well.

New year new look

Hey mummies,

I just coloured my hair.. :) Its gonna rock the Chinese New Year rite! LOL. I know! But it's too loud for a mummy of 3. Well, I just thought I would like to explore. Since I am still young, why limit myself? LOL. Before my kids turn teens, I should experience before getting labelled as "kiddy"? LOL. To begin with, I expected strips but they ended up like this. To be honest, it does look good but too loud. I do get compliments but I am not some Kpop stars so I better tone down the colours! This is probably the last look of the bright red! I love the based colour thou, my face seems rather slimmer? LOL. I will continue with the based colour! Love it.

Your kid is ah tas!

Here's for the mummies.

Your kid is your Mirror!

Is your kid ah tas?
Does he/she enjoy good food?
Nothing cheaper than crystal jade bun?
Eating problem? Do you encounter this problem, when you bring your kid to foodcourt, your kid refused to take the food or they struggle to finish the food or even throw tantrum?
But when you dine at crystal jade, kids simply gorge their food with a slurp and burp! Amazing heh.

I once overheard a kid at the age of four shouting at grandma, "I wanna eat sakae sushi". Is this ah tas? hmmm... Do you allow your little ones to indulge at this young age?

I admit as a parent, I am guilty as charged. I prefer avoiding the crowd and run into any restaurant that is the least crowded. I really hate waiting for table. Yup I'm ah tas. So to set a good example, I tried my best to step back to reality and started going food court again. Allowing my kids to get used to this kinda crowded ambience. Fortunately, my kids are easy going, they didn't make a fuss on where we should dine. So its a bliss. We would like them to understand occassional indulge is definitely alright but not on a regular basis.

So are you alright with your kids being ah tas? In certain aspect, I do believe kids being ah tas can be a good thing. When they are exposed to good food or good ambience, they won't turn out to be country pumpkin ya? However, overly exposed, can be backfired. Kids are very adaptable to any environment and decide on what they prefer. And naturally to a kid, they expect the parents to continue the trend.

As a parent, I know I have to set an example, I am their mirror. They act like us in some ways. So upbringing is very important. I guess there's always a saying "You Reap what you sow".

I always envy those well groomed kids or teenagers. They speak well, dress well, very presentable in all occasions in terms of mannerism. LOL. Not knowing what kind of "strict" disciplinary methods have they gone thru. But obviously it works.

I am still searching for a proper method to do my parenting. Its not an easy task. Every kid is different. But one thing I do know. Do not neglect your kids. Be attentive and understand their needs. Usually they need your attention rather than what they wants.

In a nutshell, in this case, BONDING is the key point here.

Just my thoughts, I don't speak for all parents.
